Christmas Buddy Program & Party Recap (Thu, 10 Dec 2009)
The Annual Christmas Program given by the children at the Alice B. Tyler Village on December 5, 2009 was a delight for all. The Children put on a play, Charlie Brown's Christmas, and the singing and the acting were superb. I want to thank everyone who braved the snowy roads to make sure all the 65 children had a special buddy for the day. After the program the children received a visit from Santa, who arrived on a Harley no less, and were able to enjoy a delicious lunch with their Christmas buddy. The day turned out even more special because our Founders, Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, made a special appearance that day to visit with the Chapter members, friends and the children all the way from Arizona.   SEE THE PHOTO GALLERY FROM THE DAY HERE!   Sincerely, Mary Ann Kurle Washington Area Board Village Liason

50th Anniversary Celebration

We wanted to share with you the exciting news about the Childhelp 50th Anniversary Celebration. The venue and date have been changed for this once-in-a-lifetime Childhelp event from October 12, 2009 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in April 2010. We are thrilled that Childhelp's 50th Anniversary celebration will be held at one of America's most prestigious centers for the performing arts. We are also pleased to announce that plans are underway for this celebration to be filmed for television with no additional expense for Childhelp. This film will be used for future Childhelp marketing, promotional and fundraising purposes such as Childhelp telethons."

For the love of a child,
